A.5.3.3 E-UTRAN FDD - HRPD Handover Unknown Target Cell: Parameter Unit Cell 2 (Cdma2000 1X) T1 T2 T3

The document provides test parameters for verifying E-UTRAN FDD to HRPD handover requirements when the target HRPD cell is unknown. It defines two time periods - T1 and T2. During T1, the UE does not have timing information for cell 2 and receives a message with system time info. Towards the end of T1, it receives a handover message to the unknown cell 2. The start of T2 is when this handover message is sent, with cell 2 as the target. The parameters include bandwidths of 10MHz for E-UTRA and HRPD cells, search window size ≤ 5 seconds, and durations of T1 and T2.

A.5.3.3

E-UTRAN FDD HRPD Handover; Unknown Target Cell

A.5.3.3.1

Test Purpose and Environment

This test is to verify the requirement for the E-UTRAN FDD to HRPD handover requirements for the case when the
target HRPD cell is unknown as specified in section 5.4.1.
The test parameters are given in Tables A.5.3.3.1-1, A.5.3.3.1-2 and A.5.3.3.1-3. The test consists of two successive
time periods, with time durations of T1 and T2 respectively. At the start of time duration T1, the UE does not have
any timing information of cell 2. During time period T1, message containing Information Element systemTimeInfo
as defined in section 6.3.1 of TS 36.331 [2] shall be sent by the System Simulator (SS). No gap patterns are
configured in the test case. No HRPD neighbour cell list shall be provided to the UE.
A RRC message implying handover to the unknown HRPD cell shall be sent to the UE towards the end of the time
period T1. The start of T2 is the instant when the last TTI containing the RRC message implying handover is sent to
the UE. The handover message shall contain cell 2 as the target cell.
