Mechanical Engineering Cad: Given

The document provides instructions for creating CAD models and drawings of a brake caliper housing using measurements taken from a physical model. The tasks are to create a 3D solid model within specified tolerances, 2D detail drawings showing dimensions and material properties, and 4 labeled isometric views at a scale of 1:1 on A3 paper. The files are to be saved in a specified folder on the hard disk.

MECHANICAL ENGINEERING CAD

Given:

A physical model of the Housing of Brake Caliper. The material is Alloy Steel.

After 1.5 hour the model will be removed.

Tasks and Output:

Take measurement from the physical model and produce the followings:
1. 3D Solid Model
a. Create a 3D solid model of the Housing of Brake Caliper,
b. Accuracy of machined surface measurement is 0.5 mm,
c. Accuracy of cast surface measurement is 1 mm,
d. Accuracy of angle measurement is 1,

2. 2D Detail Drawings
a. Produce complete working drawings of the Housing of Brake Caliper,
a. Indicate the value of volume, mass (kg) and material in the drawing.
b. Surface texture symbol, geometric and general tolerance is not required.

3. 3D Isometric Drawings
Create and label 4 shaded isometric views to show:

Top, front and right side view

Bottom, back and left side view

XX sectioned bottom, front and right view

YY sectioned top, front and left view

Output Drawing (Printout):
