Analytics in Politics: Submitted By:-Sahil Raj Vipin Kataria

The document proposes using analytics in politics beyond just elections by collecting data from social media, government offices, surveys, and feedback forms to help select better candidates for general elections and check constituency satisfaction after elections to determine needed policy changes, which could help ensure better governance, transparency, and credibility of political parties among the people.

Analytics in Politics

Submitted By:Sahil Raj

Vipin Kataria

The Idea: Till now analytics in politics is very limited and generally
done during elections only.
It is generally done for finding out what percentage votes
share according to demographics.
My idea is to implement analytics for two things in
politics:a.Analytics in selecting candidates for general elections
b.Analytics after elections for checking on satisfaction level
of people in a constituency and what kind of policy
changes are required.

Sources of Data Collection: Social Media

Feed back from government offices.
Time to time surveys.
Feedback forms at government service kiosks like
e-mitra etc.

What it will ensure?

Better governance.
Better candidates in elections.
Selection of a candidate can be made transparent
to people.
Credibility of political parties will increase among
people.
Can be used to make future manifestos.

Thank You
