This document contains information about three versions of USB technology: USB 1, USB 2, and USB 3. USB 1 transfers data at 12 megabits per second and was used for older computers and peripherals. USB 2 increases the transfer rate to 480 megabits per second, about 40 times faster than USB 1, and is backwards compatible. USB 3 has the highest transfer rate of 4.8 gigabits per second, 10 times faster than USB 2 and 400 times faster than USB 1.

QUESTION 1
ANSWER : LINUX

QUESTION 2
ANSWER :

USB 1
Carries data at the rate of 12 megabits per seconds, which is sufficient for medium to low-speed
peripherals. It also can provide an interface for Integrated Services Digital Network (ISDN) and
digital PBXs. USB 1 operating an old versions of computer operating systems and peripherals.

USB 2
Carries data at the rate of 480 megabits per second, about 40 times the rate of USB 1. It can have
4 wire in 1 cable and the maximum length of the cable is 5 meter. Its power usage is up to
500mA. This is sufficient for most modern high-speed devices. USB 2 is backwards compatible
with USB 1 devices, meaning you can plug in a peripheral device made for USB 1 to a USB 2
port. The power carrying capacity of USB 2 allows you to plug in non-signal products that just
need power.

USB 3
Carries data at the rate of 4.8 gigabits per seconds, about 10 times the rate of USB 2 and 400
times the rate of USB 1 . It can have 9 wire in 1 cable and the maximum length of the cable is 3
meter. Its power usage is up to 900Ma and can allows better power efficiency with less power for
idle states. It also can power more devices from one hub.
