Data Analysis:
From the data, many of the students had difficulty with question 1, which asked what a
stereotype was and gave 5 choices. The answer was actually two of the choices. I think that
this question confused the students. When I graded the questions, I was grading the answer
correct if the student selected E. Only B and C. Most students did pick one of the 2 correct
answers. I also feel that question 2 was a little difficult as well, however, in the post-test,
more students got the right answers. When I created the assessment, I mixed up the
stereotypes and the non-stereotypes and I think the students may have just read through it
quickly. There was a significant increase between the pre and post test results for the 2nd
question though. With the rest o the questions, there was a significant amount learned by the
students. The pretest numbers were fairly low, which it to be expected if the students dont
really know that much about the subject of the lesson. The numbers were significantly higher
for the post test, indicating that the students gained quite a bit of knowledge about
stereotypes.
