Check List for Concrete Preparations


1. Check whether enough workmen are available for
concreting,loading,mixing,placing and vibrating.
2. Check the availability of materials.
3. Review the condition and sufficiency of equipment for
mixing,transporting,placing, vibrating and curing. There should
be atleast one or two extra vibrators for standby service.
4. Confirm the proportioning of materials.
5. Before starting the concrete, decide the location of
construction joints including the joints which might need to be
installed at short notice due to unforeseen stoppage of
placement.

6. In case concreting is to be continued during night,
arrange for lighting facilities, well in advance.
7. Check whether facilities for curing and for
protection from rain are available at site.
8. Concreting shall be done when the temperature is
between 25 to 40 C
