AS222ER01 - G08 Distribution Transformer Cable Trench: Typically - 500mmx500mm Trench Is Shown in The Drawing

The document discusses drawings for typical 500mm x 500mm cable trenches for distribution transformers. It provides recommendations for improvements, including inserting steel plates for transformer entry and retrieval, adding an equipotential bonding point, and considering cable trays. Welding a 200mm x 12mm steel plate to the insert plate is recommended to aid in rolling transformers into position. Gravel should fill the space between the foundation and transformer.

Typical distribution transformer drawings of ER223 and ER222

Observations :

A typical 500 mm x 500 mm trench is shown in the drawing.

Pro-erection Recommendations :

Insert plates/ suitable fixing arrangement for fixing a M12x 200 mm continuous steel plate to be foreseen
for transformer entry and retrieval.

A equi-potential bonding point to be foreseen in each of the transformer room Presently missing in the
Earthing implantation diagram .

If possible suitable cable trays ( 300 mm wide for the primary , 400 mm 1No + 1 duct tray for the PGT for
control.

The secondery cables in the existing line -1 are single core . If we are going in line 2 also single core there
are approx 24 No of 240 sqmm. Accommodating them for the proper job to be foreseen.
