BLANKET DRIVE

Our Blanket Drive, in collaboration

with Roberto Jara of the Abrigandos

Al Hermano is once again a huge success. This will not be possible without
your donations and the kindness of
those who helped distribute the blankets, led by the El Shaddai of Moreno
Valley. SCFilMin received 75 large
ones that were distributed to the less
fortunate in two locations in Riverside
on January 3rd. There were also 50
smaller blankets for Children in Mexico. The recipients were very thankful for this blessings, especially when
they needed it the most.

Note of Appreciation Light a Lamp

We are so blessed to have such devoted

members of our community and Parish
who contribute and participate in SCFilMin
initiatives. Last year was a great year! We
participated and organized more activities
than years before. More importantly, there
is a marked increase of people attending
the Filipino Mass and more members are
committed in achieving the mission of SCFilMin and our Parish. Many thanks to all
of you, especially to our Parish volunteers
and staff, sponsors, and of course, to Fr.
Joven, MS and Fr. Arlan, MS. With your
continued support and prayers, we are
looking at a bright 2015 ahead of us.

an Easter Celebration
April 5
Procession & Rosary
starts at 5:30 a.m.

The election held last December 7 yielded a

new Chairman-Elect. Although the number of
votes among the three nominees were very
closed, Ms. Hermie Natividad emerged as the
new leader. She will be guided by Ms. Menchu
Abrigo as she transitions to be the Chairman
later this year. As a result of this transition, Ms.
Neliza Datu, an active member of El Shaddai,
will be taking the role of Co-Chair.
Ms. Hermie is not new to serving in the Filipino Ministry. She used to be an active member
and part of the first group who established the
Filipino Ministry in Redlands. In addition, she
also dedicated some of her time and creative
communications skills for other non-profits
such as the American Red Cross of the Inland
Empire, Loma Linda Ronald McDonald House,
and served as a Board Member for the Friends

Salubong

Funds will be used for

SCFilMin sponsored activities.

Salubong 2015

New Chairman-Elect

SCFilMin in Action

Bowling League

of Ontario Airport.
According to her, her decision of putting her
career on the side for now to take care of her
young children, has given her more blessings
and wisdom in life. More importantly, it gave her
an opportunity to serve and get closer to the
Lord and enjoy more quality time and learning
with her family.
Her message for us, We have a great community
here! I encourage you to make it even better by
becoming an active member, whether in SCFilMin
or other groups. There are a lot of opportunities
to use your talents and share your blessings. Dont
let your routines and challenges in life prevent you
from serving the Lord and the community. Thank
you all for your support and prayers!
