To Whom It May Concern,

I have known Anthony for ten years, since he was in grade seven. When he came to
Msgr. Paul Dwyer, I had the opportunity to get to know him as a student in one of my
senior P.E. classes, then as an athlete, an assistant coach, and finally a teacher candidate.
Anthony's life has been paved with rich personal, educational and professional
experiences. This has equipped him to embark upon a most exciting phase in his life. The
creation of a global self is the bringing together of everything learned along one's
journey. The application process for a young teacher in the current employment climate
is, and will continue to be, avery competitive endeavour. This process should highlight
the best that an individual has to offer. It is without hesitation and with much pride that I
write this letter for Anthony as an applicant for an educational position in your school
system.

As a volunteer in my classes, Anthony displayed excellent communication skills and

conducted himself with confidence. His easy and approachable manner enabled him to
establish a rapport with the students based upon mutual respect. In this role, Anthony
displayed his abilities to plan, organize, implement strategy, and to evaluate the success
of his duties.
He has, for several years, gtven hundreds ofhours back to our girls' soccer program as an
assistant coach with me. Each April, when his University year was complete, he would
volunteer his time as an aide in my Physical and Health Education classes. In this
capacity he showed great responsibility and commitment by following the process
through to its completion. The athletes recognized his genuine leadership style along with
his coaching knowledge and abilities.
The learning process is dynamic in that it is ever changing. Anthony always recognized
the individual needs of those that he worked with and adapted to their individual needs.
He always approached new ideas with an open mind and a keen curiosity. Given the
opportunity for exchange of ideas and philosophy, he was always receptive to guidance.
With his level of maturity and life experiences, Anthony was able to provide exkemely
insightful and creative input. The aforementioned skills are necessary in order to create a
positive classroom, department, and school environment.

As a teacher candidate at my school, Anthony assumed the teachings of my grade nine

and ten physical education and health classes as well as the grade twelve exercise
sciencelkinesiology course. Anthony displayed the ability to effectively deliver the
curriculum using interesting and interactive approaches. His classroom management
