Shelter, Tools, & Fire?

This two-day lesson introduces students to how Paleolithic (Old Stone Age) people obtained basic necessities like food, clothing, shelter, tools, and fire. Students will be divided into five groups, each assigned a section to read about Paleolithic life from a textbook. They will then create a poster to teach their section to the class. Exit slips will have students compare modern and Paleolithic living, and draw a Paleolithic person showing how they lived. Formative and summative assessments will evaluate students' understanding of Paleolithic life.
