Web Animation for Interactive Media

Chatham Rocket Games have commissioned to develop and create a pilot for a web animation
series for E4 based around the theme of Retro/8-Bit Games. Your pilot episode will need to be:

delivered as a .swf file


in a 16:9 format
be exactly 2 minutes long (including opening/closing title sequences)
include audio elements
include some kind of narrative (beginning, middle & end)

Create a Mood Board using the theme of Retro/8-Bit Games


Produce a script which describes the visual elements of the animation
and outlines any dialogue/music you intend to use
Produce relevant test animations of environments/characters
Deveslop and create assets for your animation production
Develop and create audio assets for your animation production
(This covers criteria: P2 M2 D2)
Following on from your initial development work:

Produce your 2 minute animation using Adobe Flash


When complete, get an audience to view the finished animation
and provide you with feedback
Produce a 500-word report which reflects on the audience
feedback and your experiences of producing your animation.
