INTRODUCTION
FECALYSIS ANALYZES THE CONDITION OF A PERSON'S DIGESTIVE

OF PARASITES IN A PERSON S BODY.

TRACT AND CHECKS FOR THE PRESENCE

IN

PARASITOLOGY, SAMPLE COLLECTION IS VERY IMPORTANT . YOU CANNOT HAVE A RELIABLE AND

CREDIBLE ANALYSIS AND INTERPRETATION OF RESULTS IF THE STOOL SAMPLE IS MIXED WITH UNWANTED
SUBSTANCES .
FURTHERMORE , ACCURATE DIAGNOSIS OF AN ILLNESS IS DEPENDENT TO THE RESULTS OF FECALYSIS . IF
THE SPECIMEN IS NOT PROPERLY COLLECTED IN THE FIRST PLACE , THE VALIDITY OF THE ANALYSIS IS VOIDED.

II.

PRACTICAL CONSIDERATIONS
A.
B.
C.
D.

OBSERVE THE PROPER LABELING AND IDENTIFICATION OF THE SPECIMEN.

ALL CONTAINERS SHOULD BE FREE FROM ANTISEPTICS AND DISINFECTANTS.
ALL ROUTINE PROCEDURES OF FECALYSIS SHOULD BE DONE IMMEDIATELY.
THE SPECIMEN CAN BE IN SOLID OR LIQUID FORM AS LONG AS THEY DO NOT
WATER, OR TOILET PAPER MIXED WITH THEM .

III.

ONLY A PEA-SIZED STOOL IS NEEDED.

STEPS ON HOW TO PROPERLY COLLECT THE STOOL SAMPLE

1. PREPARE THE CONTAINER OF YOUR SAMPLE. DISINFECT IT PROPERLY.

2. BEFORE POOPING, PLACE A CLEAN SHEET OF PAPER OR PLASTIC WRAP
THE TOILET BOWL AND HELD IN PLACE BY THE TOILET SEAT.

3.
4.
5.

HAVE URINE , SOAP ,

THAT IS LOOSELY PLACED OVER

THIS WILL ENSURE

THAT THE SAMPLE WILL

NOT BE CONTAMINATED BY WATER .

DO YOUR JOB.
WEAR GLOVES AND GET ENOUGH SAMPLE FROM THE MID PORTION OF YOUR STOOL.
TRANSFER IT DIRECTLY TO YOUR WIDE- MOUTHED CONTAINER AND LABEL

IT

IDENTIFICATION.
6. DISPOSE YOUR GLOVES AND WASH YOUR HANDS PROPERLY.
7. IMMEDIATELY PASS YOUR SAMPLE TO THE HOSPITAL LABORATORY OR DIAGNOSTIC CENTER.
