Question # 01
A causal LTI system excited by the input,

Produces the output y[n] with the z-transform,

Determine the system function H(z) (along with its ROC).

Question # 02
Given a system defined by:

What is (are) the corresponding inverse system(s)? Is (are) the inverse system will be stable and
causal? In case, you justify that the inverse system is unstable, proceed to design a causal and

stable inverse graphically (pole-zero plots) and identify which part of the original system cannot
be inverted.

Question # 03
a) Plot the magnitude response and the pole-zero plot of an FIR comb filter with a total of
9 nulls in the frequency range of
b) Plot the approximate magnitude responses corresponding to the pole-zero plots given
below. Note the 3 in second plot implies a 3rd order zero placed at z = 1.

Question # 04
Given the two discrete time sequences below:

Compute the 4-point circular convolution of these two sequences. Which of the points in this
circular convolution result would be same as would have been obtained by doing linear
convolution of these sequences?
