Turning the system ON/OFF

ON
Press the ON/OFF button

Trim forward ( bow down )

Both port and starboard interceptors extend
simultaneously and the ships bow will trim down.

to turn on the Humphree system.

Trim aft ( bow up )

Both port and starboard interceptors retract
simultaneously and the ships bow will trim up.

OFF
To turn off the Humphree system Press and hold the ON/OFF button
for more than 2 seconds, then the Turn Off System menu will be shown.
Press OK key to turn off the system.

List to port
Port side interceptors retract and starboard
interceptors extend and the ship will list to port.

SELF-CLEANING
To turn the system off with self cleaning scroll to Interval and use
keys to set the cleaning interval (time between each cleaning) in
hours, 12, 24, 48 or 96.
Scroll to Start Delay and use
to the first cleaning cycle.

Controlling trim and list

List to starboard
Starboard side interceptors retract and port side
interceptors extend and the ship will list to starboard.

Servo error or warning is indicated by a blinking number for the faulty servo.
See chapter Servo Unit status for more information.

Note: If SPEED data is missing, ATOS, ACTIVE or CTOS can not be enabled (turned on).

Trim memorys & Trim/List indication Setup

TRIM MEMORYS
A preferred interceptor position can be saved to memory 1-4.
In the main screen use TRIM/LIST buttons to set the preferred running trim of the boat.
Navigate to the Save to Trim Memory menu. Scroll to the memory number press OK.
The saved interceptor extensions can now be loaded via the main screen
TRIM MEMORY 1 - 4 menu option.
Calibrate trim and list indication
Navigate to the Trim Indicator Setup menu to set the trim and list angles to zero. This will
be the boats reference.

Calibration of trim and list angles should be done when the ship is in calm waters at zero
speed.
Scroll to Set Zero Trim and Set Zero List respectively and press OK. The angle indication
will then read close to 0.0.

Backlight Setup
Dimmer function
Use
buttons to adjust the backlight intensity (10% steps).
Backlight Setup menu
Navigate to the Backlight Setup menu.
ON
Sets the screen and button backlight permanently on.
Use dimmer to control the backlight.
AUTO ON/OFF
When any key is pressed, backlight is turned on for 5 seconds
and then automatically turned off.
Use dimmer to control the backlight.
OFF
Sets screen backlight permanently off.

Special Key functions

FORCE RETRACT
Force Retract is a function for fast retraction of the interceptors.
ATOS is automatically turned off and the interceptors are fully retracted to their neutral
position.
Force Retract is activated by pressing and holding down
both LIST keys simultaneously for 0.5 sec.
BRIDGE/FLYBRIDGE IN COMMAND
To transfer command to/from bridge and flybridge control panels (activate/deactivate
control panel keyboards), the following key press combinations are used.
The following combinations are pressed and held down for 3 sec.

Turning ACTIVE ON/OFF (when applicable)

ATOS automatically trims the boat to optimum longitudinal trim at all speeds for best
fuel economy and best speed.

ACTIVE ride control system automatically controls trim and list in combination with full
motion damping (stabilisation) for best on board comfort.

Turning ATOS ON
To turn on ATOS, scroll to the TURN ON ATOS option on the main
screen and press the ON/OFF button.

Turning ACTIVE On
To turn on ACTIVE, on the main screen scroll to
TURN ON ACTIVE option and press the ON/OFF button.

When ATOS is on, you can add manual trim and list offset using the arrow keys to compensate for side wind and/or different load conditions.
Turning ATOS OFF
To turn off ATOS, scroll to the TURN OFF ATOS option on the main
screen and press ON/OFF button.
Changing ATOS Curve
The ATOS curve to be used (1-4) can be changed in the ATOS Setu menu
by scrolling to ATOS Curve and using the
buttons to choose the desired curve.

In calm water conditions it is preferred to use the ATOS mode, to optimise the boats
running trim, for higher cruising speed and best fuel economy.
Use the Trim and List buttons to manually offset the boat in ATOS mode.

Turning ACTIVE Off

To turn off ACTIVE, on the main screen scroll to
TURN OFF ACTIVE option press the ON/OFF button.

In head and following sea conditions it is preferable to use the ACTIVE
mode, with pitch and roll control.
In beam sea conditions it is preferable to use the ACTIVE mode, with only roll control
to have full performance of roll stabilisation. Turn on ATOS to remove the ACTIVE pitch
control. ATOS will control the pitch of the boat.
Use the Trim and List buttons to set target trim and list in ACTIVE mode.

Turning CTOS ON/OFF (when applicable)

CTOS (Coordinated Turn Optimisation System) is used for setting the heel (list) angle
when the boat is turning for improved on board comfort and turning
ability.
Turning CTOS On
To turn on CTOS, on the main screen scroll to
TURN ON CTOS option and press the ON/OFF button.

Turning CTOS Off

To turn off CTOS, on the main screen scroll to
TURN OFF CTOS option press the ON/OFF button.
