Basic Terminal

The Low Cost High Quality Terminal, designed and master-planned by AirportResearch
Center, combines budget, intended terminal capacity and expected traffic as well as IATA
category to perfectly meet the clients requirements.
The modular design allows reduced investment cost and reliable construction times as
all components are known and agreed upon prior to beginning of construction. Module
architecture enables individual and flexible terminal extensions in any given environment
without changing the initial architectural and functional concepts, thus meeting future
requirements of the terminal.
The worldwide leading simulation software CAST Terminal is used to validate the terminal
design throughout all planning phases. The resulting fine-tuned terminal building is not
only attractive from an architectural point of view; the functional side of the airport is also
fully optimized.

Reference Project: International Airport of Kharkiv, Ukraine


As an example for an international airport, ARC worked out the master plan and terminal
design for the airport of Kharkiv, Ukraine. The new terminal extension was created using
ARCs modular pallet, ensuring a sustainable and affordable approach.
Being operational since November 2010, the terminal was built in time and within the
cost estimate.
