GOOGLE EARTH:

FLIGHT SIMULATOR
Welcome to your first flight on Google
Airlines!

The Simulator: What is it?

The Google Earth Flight Simulator started out

as a Google Earth Easter Egg in 2007.
(Version: Google Earth v4.2)
By pressing a few keys, youre given a pop-up
menu that allowed you to select the type of
plane and airport you would like to take off
from. You could also choose to fly from the
current view.
Its now considered a default option on Google
Earth.

Lets get started!

Open up Google Earth, wait for it to load, etc.

When thats finished open up the C:\ Drive,
find the Airplane Simulator Folder, and find the
Google Flight Simulator Command Sheet.
Open

that as well.

Wait for instructions.

Taking off

First, start the throttle, by holding the pg up

button.
Hold it until the speedometer reaches approx.
200 knots, or until you are able to let it go and
allow the plane to constantly accelerate on its
own.
While its in acceleration, pull your mouse back
in order to tilt the plane up. This will take some
practice.

Extra help/Troubleshooting

Sometimes you will have to move the mouse

back and forth in order for the joystick to
register.
If

all else fails, press the down arrow key while

pulling the mouse back. This will allow for an
elevator pull, which will pull the plane upwards.
While in flight, dont forget to turn the landing gear
off.

Landing the Plane

Landing Your Aircraft

Landing is a bit trickier and takes some practice. To land the
aircraft:
Approach the appropriate airstrip or flat area.
Press Page Down to reduce thrust and slow down the
aircraft.
Press G to extend the landing gear.
Press F to increase the flap setting. This slows the aircraft.
Once you have touched down, using wheel brakes to slow
the aircraft. Press , (comma) to apply the left wheel brake;
