JOB PROFILE
1. Rejig India strategy and develop fresh approaches to scale up India presence:
Prioritizing the markets and specific owner-developer institutions to target
who will be first to go off the ground for setting up water projects.
Build a rationale or USP to market companys product for these projects.
Combining the opportunities in the market and the product strengths,
develop a strategic plan broken down into annual operating plans.
2. Business Development to spur growth:
Liaison with key customers especially municipal corporations and EPC
contractors who develop projects in city water supply and sewage treatment.
Scanning for new projects and proactively offer the companys products and
services to suit the requirements of projects.
Expansion of product lines in India to leverage the international product
portfolio of VAG.
3. Develop corporate organization commensurate to growth:
To ensure that the manufacturing plant is operated at the optimal capacity,
delivering output at budgeted cost, time and quality parameters. The
objective here is to make sure that manufacturing is synchronized to the
sales order requirements.
Build a financial control organization to capture the key operational
parameters and report to the global headquarters about the results on the
ground accurately.
To build consistent HR policy to recognize performance and reward high
performers.
4. P&L Management:
Topline growth by generating more leads and conversion of leads into
contracts.
Stringent receivables management, this is especially important because this
company operates in a projects environment.
Management of costs as per budgets.
Delivering the monthly P&L and wherever there is variance coming up with
the recovery plans.
Finally responsible for meeting annual plans and if there is any deviation to
keep the principal organization in Germany informed about the possible
deviation areas.
5. Build India as an outsourcing hub:
Leverage Indias technical strengths and build the design team to cater to the
global product design requirements.
Increase the strength of the design centre from current 10 to 20-members.
Set up India as a shared services hub, particularly targeting the procedural
finance activities to India to cater to the global requirements.
Build India as a post-sales provider of support in service, repair, installation
and commissioning areas.
Grow India as an outsourcing hub directly impacting global P&L.
