3) Assuming, As To Pumping There Is Non-Thermal Equilibrium Exists Hence

1) The key factors in choosing a material for a semiconductor laser diode are its band gap structure, whether it has a lower filled band and empty upper band for absorption and emission, and its ability to hold a charge which allows an empty lower band and filled upper band. 2) It is theoretically possible to make a silicon laser, but in practice the heat from pumping would melt the silicon crystal unless it was cooled with liquid nitrogen. Easier materials exist to make practical lasers. 3) Pumping can achieve non-thermal equilibrium if the separation of quasi-Fermi levels is greater than the band gap, allowing gain based on the relationship between the band gap energy and quasi-Fermi level separation.

1) The three factors influence the choice of material for semiconductor laser diode the first
thing is the band gap material as photons have very small momentum so it the band gap is
a indirect band-gap material an incident photon has only a small chance of being
absorbed, since momentum conservation cannot be satisfied.
The second is a material with a lower level band filled with photons and empty upper level
for absorption to occur and conversely.
After a charge has been pleased on the materiel then a filled upper level and an empty
lower level must occur for the emission.
2) yes and no to this question yes we can make a silicon leaser the mather shows that we can
achieve lease ring in a silicon. But when it is made in the practised the heat of the pumping
melt the silicon crystal. If the silicon is put in to liquid nitrogen then this will stop over
heating but in0 practician there are much easy ways to make a laser.

3) Assuming, as to pumping there is non-thermal equilibrium exists hence Efc Efv.

The pumping can be achieved it this criteria are met if the quasi-fermi level
separation is greater than the band-gap. This can be seen from this equation below
(E2 E1) <(Efc Efv) = to the gain
