Movie Theater Database: Design A Database System For A Movie

A movie theater database would track information about employees, movies playing, and available seats. The deliverables for designing this database include: a one-page project description outlining the scope; an entity-relationship model showing the entities and relationships; a relational design with at least 15 relations and user views; and an implemented database with sample data and a web interface. The deliverables are divided into two phases, each requiring a document and presentation.

Movie Theater Database: Design a database system for a movie

theater. You may for instance track information about employees who work
at the theater, movies being played, seats available etc.

Deliverables
All reports are to be submitted by hard copy and accompanied by a softcopy of the work files.
There are basically four deliverables:
1. Project description. This is an initial, but reasonably well-thought out, one-page description of
your project. Provide enough details about the scope of your project. A rough idea of scope is
that an acceptable project is likely to yield at least 15 or so relations in the final design.
2. Entity-Relationship Model. Provide a complete design for your project using the EntityRelationship Model.
3. Relational Design. Provide a complete relational design for your project. Include designs for
your user views as well.
4. Database Implementation. Implement your database design with sample data and a Web
accessible interface.
The above deliverables will be in 2 phases. A document and a presentation are expected in each
phase.
