Keys released her debut album with J records, having had record deals before with Columbia and then Arista records. Keys debut album Songs in A Minor sold over 12 millon copies worldwide. She became a best selling R&B artist in 2001. The album earned five Grammys in 2002, including best new artist and song of the year for her hit Fallin. Fallin became the second American recording song to win five Grammys in one night. Her second album, The Diary of Alicia Keys, was released in 2003 and was another success worldwide. It sold 8 million copies. The album got her four Grammy awards. Later that year, she released her album Unplugged. Keys made guest appearances on several television series. In the next year she made an appearance on Charmed and then the Nanny Diaries in 2007. She then sang Empire State of Mind featuring Jay Z. Then she stared in the television show The Secret Life of Bees. The next year she realesed her fourth album The Element of Freedom in December 2009. She released her fifth album Girl on Fire. Alicia named her album after her hit Girl on Fire. Through her career, Alicia has won numerous awards and has sold 11 million records worldwide. Billboard magazines named her top R&B artist of the 2000s decade. Alicia also married music producer Swizz Beatz and had a child Egypt Dean. Alicia is famous for her music and her acting.
