Positioning Statement: The monthly Bible of Jazz Price: 2.89p Distribution: Supermarkets, Newsagents, Music Shops, Online, Subscriptions Rationale: This new Jazz magazine will aim to invite a younger target audience such as teenagers, I will aim the target audience to be younger as every other Jazz magazine has an older and more mature target audience. Using a young target audience will give the magazine a more unique edge. I will include articles from world wise Jazz artists and also include up and coming, new Jazz artists. Style: The style of this new music magazine will be simple, the language will use will be informal to suit my younger target audience. My front cover will be busy with text and the image on the front will be a long shot of one person. The title will be bold and outstanding to attract attention. Colour Scheme: Black/Gold/Purple I want the colour scheme to be set, meaning I only want to use these three colours and maybe white if I was to put an incentive to make it stand out. I have chosen black, gold and purple because gold will stand out on the black background and the purple will make it more eye-catching and interesting. To create the effect of gold I will use a deep yellow.
