Assignment-5

Course code: EE308

Department: E&E

Course title: Power Electronics

SEM: V

1. Plot the output voltage waveform (line to neutral - van, vbn, vcn) of a three phase
bidirectional ac voltage regulator when supplying a balanced star connected UPF load for
=30, =90. =120. Clearly indicate the conducting devices at different intervals of
operation. Also plot the voltage across any one controlled switch for each firing angle
specified above.
2. Plot the output voltage waveform (line to neutral - van, vbn, vcn) of a three phase unidirectional ac voltage regulator when supplying a balanced star connected UPF load for
=60, =90. =150. Clearly indicate the conducting devices at different intervals of
operation. Also plot the voltage across any one controlled switch for each firing angle
specified above.
