Grand Theft Auto provides us with very graphic content often includes the
factors of an expected open world experience such as murder, drugs, sex and
violence. The Grand Theft Auto franchise is known for involving characters that
commit discriminating acts with other characters. It is also known for having an
outrageous story with comedic plot lines and chaotic campaign missions that are
linked with each other and often involve criminal law breaking events. The
player dictates the style of play for the game as it can be varied for each
individual depending on what they desire. The game has bright and exciting
visual depictions of real life cities and countryside. We are often presented with
bold explosions and a full 360-degree surrounding to view. The gam provides a
great draw distance delivering a wide field of view for the players. The audio is
mostly made up of diegetic sounds such as Foley in the background and impact
noises. Nevertheless we can see characters with dialogue and a variety of radio
stations that alter the atmosphere. This game rarely uses non-diegetic sounds
apart from narrations in some cut scenes.
This game was created with modern high quality advanced motion capture
technology to compete with other next-generation games on the market. The
game was created with softwhere that simulates realistic surroundings. This
example of a game is most commonly distributed through discs at stores or
downloadable straight from the consoles store. This is because the game
requires a lot of data and wouldnt be able to fit on applications or mobile
devices. Grand Theft Auto has a large area witch requires a full disc to be
installed so the game can project all of its details. This game has common
occurring themes such as character development through decisions made by the
player; this can affect the outcome of the situations of the games storyline. The
game includes constant heist availabilities and the option to freely explore or
cause havoc upon the city you are presented in. we can often see recurring
events such as gang violence and drug use. This is true for the characteristics of
the game because we can commonly see similar events relating to adult content,
weather expected or not.
This game has a non-linear narrative structure witch means you can control
what you plan to do in the environment, the story isnt set to a certain path so
this can be altered by decisions and actions that the player makes to the
character. The storyline is open ended as little options can change the games end
result or actions towards other characters; therefore they can change the overall
missions directions. The game represents the world around them in a
stereotypical format displaying certain expected age groups and racial types
completing prejudges occurrences. They also take a humorous look and
excaudate events that occur in the real life such as social behavior and television,
therefore they take real life situations and make fun of them by over exposing
the traits seen throughout the real world.
