Transition Plan
Read a poem by Sylvia brown My Body, sing song head, shoulders, knees,
and toes
Procedure
After the poem is read teacher will shout out a body part, for example:
My ears, the children will point to their ears and repeat it. Arms, legs,
hands, etc
Advanced Preparation:
Print out poem

Developmental Benefits:
Children will build literacy skills, use their large motor skills, and build
confidence

Children will name their body parts on their own
