Desmos is an online graphing calculator that is effective for middle and high school students. It allows users to easily graph functions, lines, parabolas, and plots. Desmos has several advantages over traditional graphing calculators like being accessible on any device with a web browser, providing step-by-step work, and allowing teachers to monitor student progress. While it replaces hand-drawing graphs, Desmos engages students with an intuitive interface and is a free resource for classroom use.

Overall Group Reflection

Overall, our group agrees Desmos is a highly useful tool for teachers and students. All members of our group were excited to work with the program
and figure out how it works. The pros of the software far outweigh the cons. It is a great upgrade from graphing calculators which are normally used for
graphing units. This software is more visually appealing, easier to type in equations and the coordinate points are easier to identify. It is also convenient for
teachers because they can pull up the program in class and save class time by not having to hand draw the graphs. The program of course does require
technology, but it is a free program students could access from a computer in a public library if they do not have a personal computer. The program doesnt
require any downloading which makes it even more convenient. The teacher version allows teachers to view their students progress and if they are
constructing their graphs correctly. With this feature, student work is all in one, easy to access page.

This is obviously a software that would be used more in a middle or high school level classroom. We all agreed that the program should be used in
moderation. Students should still be able to perform the task of graphing equations by hand. Once students master this skill first, then this program can be
incorporated into the curriculum. We would highly recommend teachers of the appropriate level to integrate this program into their lesson.
This innovative tool reflects perfectly the 21st century learner. This advancement in technology makes math more appealing to the 21 st century
learner, as well as practical. Desmos is a time saving program where the graphing results are at your hands instantly. As mentioned before, it is a
technological upgrade from the standard graphing calculator which is more appealing to learners of this time.
