INTRODUCTION
Paget's disease of the breast has been recognized as a distinct clinical entity for over 120 years.
Since the condition in itself is often innocuous and limited to a surface appearance, it is
sometimes dismissed, although actually indicative of a very serious underlying condition, breast
cancer. Its clinical significance, pathogenesis, and surgical treatment remain topics of clinical
debate. The aim of this review is to describe the characteristic clinical and pathologic features,
histogenesis and treatment modalities of this entities.
