OOSH

News from the Office..

If your child currently attends OOSH at

Boolaroo Public School you would no
doubt be aware that the YMCA has
relinquished responsibility for this
service. The DEC has put the OOSH
out to tender and there are a number of
interested parties. The DEC envisages
a seamless transition between the
YMCA and another service provider
and we should know more very soon.

Just a reminder that all money for all

upcoming events (except for Swim Fun
day). MUST be returned to the office
prior to Friday the 5th December. The
office cannot accept any further
payments after this date. Unfortunately,
if payment is presented to the office after
this date it will be returned home and
your child cannot attend the excursion.

Year 6 Fun Lunch

Our year 6 students will be hosting their

annual 'Year 6 Fun Lunch' to raise money
for their end of year gift to the school on
Friday 5th December. On this day
students are invited to dress in weird and
wacky colours and may order a sausage
sizzle and drink for lunch. This will be
followed by an extended lunch break and
a variety of fun activities such as:

A lunchtime disco

Cake stall

Coloured hairspray stall and nail

painting (permission notes required)

Sponge throwing

Nik-Nak and snack stalls

Wii gaming centre

Lolly jar guessing competition

This event has been a great success in

the past and we would greatly appreciate
your support again this year.

Tech Tip...

News from Kindy.

This term the students in KM and KE have been learning to write special types of
texts. Over the last two weeks they have been having lots of fun participating in
cooking activities to base written procedures on. They have been learning to write
clear instructions in logical orders with supporting illustrations. They understand that
procedures are written for a special purpose and a special audience.
We have chosen two outstanding work samples from each class to share with you.
As the year draws to a close we would also like to congratulate the students in
kindergarten for a wonderful and successful first year at big school and wish you all
a very safe and happy holiday.
Kind Regards,
Leah McFayden & Heather Eggins
