3. Press the HST-3000 softkey below the word Display and scroll with the arrow keys to 8

6. The HST-3000 will check the USB stick for valid script files. An update for each script found on
the USB stick will appear in this dialog box. Note this HST-3000 does NOT verify the associated
Broadcom image is on the USB stick). With this dialog box you can select which images you
want to update. Use the OK key to toggle an image on or off. You can also use the Select All and
Clear All softkeys. Once you have selected the image(s) you want to update press the Accept
softkey. You may only see the ADSL Bonded selection.

7. You will then see a dialog box informing you that the Update is in Progress with a progress bar at
the bottom.
8. After the update(s) are complete you will see a dialog box informing you that the update process
was completed.
9. If the update image is not on the USB stick, an Error dialog box will indicate that the modem
PHY cannot be found.
10. Other errors that may occur as well. If that happens you will see a dialog box with the Error Code.

11. Upon completion the HST-3000 will have updated the PHY indicated by the DSL Version. The
actual DSL Version, as well Modem SW version shown on the HST-300 will vary according to
the actual firmware release.
