Achieved a First Degree Black Belt by the age of 14 after seven years of hard work, dedication
and perseverance.
Three Fourths complete from achieving the Second Degree Black Belt.
Attained 11 medals at National tournaments including two silver medals and nine bronze medals.

Schaumburg Sextant Reporter

Aug. 2010-Jun. 2014

Reported and wrote articles about sporting events throughout the High School for every issue
each month.
Interviewed and conversed with coaches and standout players for the articles to help enhance the
quality of the articles.

Constructed and organized the sports section for the school paper each month.
Collaborated with other students and staff to provide an efficient and creative newspaper about
the talented performances by the student body.

Constructed a workshop for Incoming Freshman Open House on to how be successful in

by picking them up at each class and taking them to their next.

Officiated and oversaw soccer games at the recreational levels for children at the kindergarten

Continually expanded my abilities as a referee by moving as a sideline referee for kindergarten

children to a center referee for 5 and 6 grades kids for their tournament in a year and a half.

Illinois Shotokan Karate Club Instructor


2007-Present
At the age of 12, started assisting the instructor in conducting a karate class by helping count and

by leading warm ups for students on a volunteer basis to students as young as four to adults as
old as 50 years old.
Led small groups of students by teaching them basic techniques, different series of forms, and
self defense moves after permission was given by the lead instructor.
Hired as a part time employee due to overall awareness as an instructor and the improvement
students demonstrate.
Allowed to lead and instruct for beginning and intermediate classes after developing a teaching
style and personality.

Academic Honors
Foreign Language Award in Spanish achieving at 90% or better throughout the entire year. (May

2011, May 2012, May 2013)


Selected as a National Honor Society member demonstrating qualities of character, scholarship,
leadership and service. (November 2012-June 2014)
