Final Projexct

Language development occurs in stages over a person's life. In the first few days after birth, babies begin to learn basic communication skills like making eye contact and mimicking sounds. Between 0-6 months, babies can express emotions in their voices and learn to vocalize for attention. From 6-12 months, babies can understand simple instructions, recognize their name, and engage in turn-taking conversations. Between 12-18 months, children understand more words than they can say, associate speech with gestures, and can speak 10-20 words. By 18-24 months, children know between 200-500 words but accurately speak around 50 words and are beginning to use sentences and ask simple questions.
