Paris High School & Junior High


November 14th, 2014

High School:
Pep Club shirt orders are in the office. If you bought one for football season, you're good. If you
would like to cheer on the Coyotes during basketball season, get your shirt order in quickly! The
first home game is Dec. 5th.
Any HS student interested in taking the December 13 ACT test can still late register until
November 21. There is a late fee of $24 additional to the $38 test fee. See Mrs. Youse if you
need help registering. Paris will not be a test center for the February test date.

Yearbooks on sale now! $35.00 if you order by November 24 . Add name personalization for $5.00.

FFA Group picture day Dec 4th in the gym during intervention. All officers full official dress,
members top 1/2.
Show-Me Chapter of the Soil and Water Conservation Society Chapter Scholarships.
The Show-Me Chapter offers a $2000 scholarship for a high school senior, or undergraduate, planning to
major in conservation or a natural resources-related field. This is an essay contest. Information can be
found at http://www.moswcs.org/scholarship/. Please encourage any eligible students to apply.
Applications must be postmarked by December 1st (Monday after Thanksgiving).

The annual FBLA Blood Drive will be held Thursday, November 20th from 8:00 am to 2:00 pm
in the high school gym. Please help us reach our goal of 76 units given by signing up to give
today. There is a sign up sheet on Mrs. Moreland's door. If you are 16 and would like to give,
please get a permission slip from Mrs. Moreland. One donor can save up to 3 lives.
Conservation Foundation of Missouri Scholarship
CFMO offers 5 - $1000 scholarships to high school seniors or undergraduates in different natural
resources areas. Preference will be given to those demonstrating financial need. Applications must be
submitted by December 31. Information can be found at on the same website,

COLLEGE VISITS:
November 20 during Intervention a rep from Western Illinois University will be on campus.
November 25 during 5th hour a rep from NWMSU will be on campus.

Junior High:
ALL STUDENTS:
Time is running out to get your 2015 Cardinals calendars. They are $15 and support the Paris
music programs. Ask the closest band or choir member, or Mr. Shulse for information. Orders
must be in by Monday, Nov. 17.
