Script

A boy and girl are walking home after celebrating their anniversary when they are followed by a man. The man catches up to them and stabs the boy, while the girl screams. The next day, as the girl is packing to move away from the traumatic event, she begins receiving threatening phone calls from an unknown person saying "You're next." During the final call, the voice says they want "you." Overcome with fear and hallucinations, the girl breaks down in tears, believing the killer is outside her house.

Script.

First scene
Set at night.
Boy and girl walking down an empty road. (Long shot/ establishing shot)
They were walking back from celebrating their one year anniversary. A man starts to follow them
(long shot). The boy and girl speed up realising they are being followed. The man takes a short cut
and catches up with them. (Quick shots. They jump from each POV).
Eventually the man reaches them and knocks the boy and stabs him. The girl starts screaming. (Long
shot).
Fade to black. Whilst black you hear a whisper that says youre next

Second scene
Daylight. Natural lighting.
The girl is sitting on her bed with boxes all around her. (Long shot). Shes moving away because her
boyfriend died.
Girl gets a phone call from unknown number. She doesnt pick up. (Cut in). The phone rings again.
This time the girl picks in up. All she can hear is static. The phone rings for a third time. She picks up
the phone.
What? the girl snaps.
All she can hear is
Youre next.
The girl then starts to cry and asks
What do you want from me?
The person then replies after a pause.
YOU.
The girl hangs up and looks out the window. As she is now hallucinating, she sees the killer
everywhere. (Jump shots).
Sees killer outside her house and breaks down crying on the floor. (medium close up).
Fade to black
