Week6 Model Complete

The document discusses modeling a gun in 3D by starting with a polygon cylinder, adding subdivisions to pull out bullet faces, and using smoothing and edge loops to round edges. It also describes combining objects using boolean and combine tools, and applying textures like blinn and transparent materials.

For the guns, the cylinder polygon was used, then added subdivisions to allow pulling

out the faces of the bullets.

The edges of the polygon was rounded using the smooth tool. At first I came accorss a
problem where too the polygon outcomes as distorted. This was solved by adding
edge loops near the edges. I discovered doing this applies the curve near the edge
loops.

I used the Union tool within bollean option to combine the manipulated polygon
object and gun I created since the tool dosnt cut the object.

In the wireframe mode I had a visual pepective of what the two combined objects
look. I could see the edges where connected togteher without any distortion or cutting.

For this selected face I could not identify why the mesh would not allow me to add
edge loops. Instead was my best solution was the Multi cut tool.

Only factor which I disliked was Multi-cut tool does not always apply straight edges.

I solved this by mauiluating the verticies points using the move tool.

I noticed after changing the veritice point of the end part of the model, the vertiices
apear distorted when opening the scene on a different computer.

I had noticed when combining objects using Boolean tool, I could not separate them.
using the combine tool within mesh options allowed seperation later on.

For the window, bing material was applied for texture. Within the attibutes the
tranparecy was decreased

For the bullets and guns blinn texture was apllied.

An image was used as the texture for the outline of the plane.
