Heres this weeks Part 2 task Describe a beautiful place you once visited. You should say: - when you went to this place - where it was - who you went with and say why you liked it so much. 2. Generate ideas The key part of this task is the 4 th question, why you liked it so much. Try recalling the time in question by closing your eyes and imagining yourself back in this place. Then make notes of why you liked it, including any key words or phrases. 3. Find the language you need Look through the vocabulary on the left and decide which expressions could be used in your talk in addition to those youve listed in (2). 4. Task focus This task requires you to talk about the past and so your pronunciation of past tenses will be important. Focus in particular on regular verbs with ed endings and how they are pronounced: /t/ as in stopped /d/ as in travelled /id/ as in visited 5. Give your presentation Practise your long turn. If possible, record yourself . When you listen back, pay attention to your use of regular past tenses. Did you pronounce them accurately?
