Stress at Job and Its Impact On Employee's Performance

Stress at work negatively impacts both employees and organizations. It is defined as the physical and emotional strain that occurs when job demands do not match an individual's abilities, resources, or needs. The main causes of job stress are role conflict, role overload, and role ambiguity. Left unaddressed, stressed employees are likely to be less healthy, motivated, productive, and safe, hindering an organization's ability to succeed competitively.
