The University of Manchester are currently recruiting an Equality & Diversity Assistant to be responsible for providing efficient clerical and administrative support to the Equality and Diversity Team.
The duties of the job include:
Arranging and coordinating meeting/travel arrangements Processing of invoices General administration including collecting and collating data and other information; servicing meetings and events Maintaining effective filing and information retrieval systems To receive and respond appropriately to internal and external enquiries To provide administrative support To support the Equality Impact Assessment process including collation of data and maintaining records accordingly To produce equality data for EIAs, equality monitoring and reporting and benchmarking standards using established information systems programmes To liaise with relevant internal and external stakeholders to plan, promote and implement E&D recognition events and activities
We would like to hear from you if you have/are:
Experience within a similar role The ability to produce written work to a high and accurate standard in a timely and efficient manner. The ability to communicate information which requires careful explanation both verbally and in writing The ability to create, maintain and develop both manual and electronic based record systems. The ability to work both independently and as part of a team The ability to demonstrate high levels of customer service when dealing with enquiries and providing information and initial advice on services and/or procedures. Awareness and understanding of equal opportunities issues. Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel in order to manipulate data to a high standard.
