This week we are reading from Unit 2, Week 2

Ronald Morgan
For the Pumpkin Drop, please remember to send in
fluffy stuff (items to minimize impact when we drop our
pumpkin.) Remember the goal is to keep the pumpkin intact.
The drop is scheduled for the 27th depending on the weath-
er.
Please also continue to encourage your child to keep
working toward their reading goal. They should have almost
reached their goal by now in order to enjoy the ice cream
sundae party. Each student knows exactly how many more
books they need to read in order to participate in the ice
cream sundae party. Please continue to remind your child to
bring home library books every night so that they can read
them at home and return to school the following day and take
a test on those books.
October 30th is the end of the first quarter when
we will have the reading goal ice cream sundae party as well
as the class auction. We will also be carving pumpkins that
day after estimating their weight and circumference. We will
need four good sized pumpkins AND four adults to carve for
this activity. If you can donate a pumpkin and/or your carving
skills, we would very much appreciate it. Please send me an
email letting me know that you will be bringing in a pumpkin.
You may bring them in anytime prior to October 30th.
