Installing Windows XP

This document provides steps for creating a virtual machine (VM) using Oracle VM VirtualBox to run another operating system like Windows XP within your existing computer environment. A VM allows you to run a guest OS inside a program on your host machine. The 14 steps outlined include: opening VirtualBox, creating a new VM, selecting an ISO file for the guest OS installation media, choosing the OS type, allocating memory and storage, and installing the guest OS. Once complete, the new VM can be launched and will provide an interface to the installed operating system, in this case Windows XP.
