&ainted0 ,ut she does not ha"e enough %oney) We are going to ind out how she sol"es her

I will then e@&lain that as we read through the story0 we are going to use the %oney in our
,ags to %ake the dierent a%ounts that we !o%e a!ross) I will also let the% know that as we
%ake the dierent a%ounts0 I will ask or "olunteers to !o%e show how they %ade the
a%ount on the &ro/e!tor) This is i%&ortant ,e!ause there !an ,e se"eral dierent
!o%,inations that all add u& to the sa%e a%ount0 so what one student does %ay ,e dierent
than what the other do)

We will now read through The Penny Pot. (s we go through0 I will sto& when we rea!h a
new a%ount o %oney and ha"e the students show that a%ount with their !oins)
