The proposed repair works involved fixing cracks, spalling and defective concrete in reinforced concrete silos 1-6 for Sabah Flour and Feed Mills. Crack repair, formwork grouting and patching were used to repair the defective concrete on the roof slab, basement slab, stairwell and inside the silos caused by severe corrosion of steel reinforcement. The existing waterproofing system on the roof slab was also removed and replaced, and cleaning works were carried out on the concrete surfaces of the stairwell and silos.
