Thomasville Police Departments Special Operations Unit has arrested a Thomasville man for trafficking in cocaine.
On Wednesday, October 2, 2014, the Special Operations Unit, along with North Carolina Alcohol Law Enforcement, executed a search warrant at 113 Griffith Street, Thomasville. As a result of the search, detectives located 35.5 grams of cocaine and 58.6 grams of marijuana.
John Davis Mays, 42, of 113 Griffith Street, was charged with two counts of trafficking in cocaine by possession and manufacture, possession of a controlled substance with the intent to manufacture cocaine, felony possession of cocaine, maintain a dwelling for controlled substance, felony possession of marijuana, possession of marijuana, and possession of drug paraphernalia.
Mays was placed in the Davidson County Jail under a secured bond of $100,000. His court date is scheduled for November 26, 2014.
