•••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••
Winning the world's confidence with material selection, precision testing and durability testing.
Many tests, measurements and experiments repeated day and night support the "making of high-quality products." For example, durability testing (where product samples are kept running under severer conditions than in actual use), along with material inspection, dimensional inspection, environmental testing, withstand pressure testing, and various other routine programs, are an obligation. In so doing, the basic performance of the products is checked in many aspects and strictly.

The use of a nut system in instaUing the container and plug achieves the following advantages:

.The plug is easy to install .
• Reduce particle generaion .
• The double sealing is achieved by an FEP-encapsulated "0" ring and a tapered tip (part A) .
• The shaft sealing structure prevents leaks even when nut is loosed (part B).

The body of the CUPLA is closely linked to its use, type of fluid used, concentration (%) of the fluid, pressure, operating environment and other conditions. Consideration must be given to the conditions of the fluid to make sure that the functions of the CU PLA are fully displayed and effectively used.
Some metals are inapplicable depending on the type of fluid involved. Therefore please make the selection using the table below. Items marked C:' are applicable. Items marked .6. undergo limitations in operating conditions.

For the CUPLA sealing (an important part that prevents fluid leaks), it is important to select the optimal sealing material to suit the type of fluid and temperature, along with other conditions. Making the wrong selection may not only spoil the functions of the CUPLA but also cause an unexpected accident. Therefore be careful in making the selection.

Beware of Imitations
Erroneously using any of these imitations with a Nitto Kohl<ll .CUPLA may cause
1) imperfect attachment or detachment, 2) decline in airtightness, 3) decline in pressure strength or du.rabllity, 4) decline in IIClwrate and result in unexpected accidents,
To prevent such accidents, never use a Nitta Kohki product with any coupler manufactured by any other supplier. Before placing an order or making a purchase, always check the engraved markings.

'1. •••••
Before using a CUPLA, please read the instructions given below and be sure to observe all precautions,
czts Warnings)
• Do not use the CUPLA under any pressure exceeding the maximum operating pressure. It might cause a leak or .damage.
• Do not use the CUPLA under any condition outside the operation temperature range. It might damage the sealing,
resulting in a leak.
• Do not use the CUPLA for any purpose other than the applicable fluids.
• Any spillage or droplet of the fluid used must only be handled by a qualified technician engaged in such fluids.
• Do not couple or decouple the CUPLA when pressured.
• When any pressure tank is used, be sure to reduce the nitrogen gas pressure to OMPa{Okgf/cm2} and reduce the tank inner pressure similarly to OMPa{Okgflcm2}, then decouple the GUPLA on the liquid side.
• Decouple the GUPLA on the liquid side before coupling the GUPLA on the nitrogen gas side.
• Do not couple the CUPLA 10 a quick fluid joint manufactured by a different supplier.
czts Cautions)
• Perform an elution test on Ihe sealing material and body material with regard to. the fluid involved, then check the appropriateness of the material before use.
• For the mille threads of the pipe taper screw and taper screw for American piping, use sealing tape made of fluororesin.
• A little amount of fluid will flow out when the GUPLA is detached. To prevent danger, detach the GUPLA after discharging
the fluid out of the GUPLA with nitrogen gas or something similar.
• Do not use it as a swivel joint.
• Do not use it for any purpose other than as a quick fluid joint.
• The fluororesin is soft. Therefore take care not to scratch, dent or otherwise damage it. The sealing has a particular risk to become a source of leakage.
• Do not apply an artificial impact, bend, or tension other than detachment or reattachment. It would bea source of leakage or damage.
• Do not use it under pressure when handling the socket or plug singly. The valve might jut out,
• After the CUPLA has been used for a long time as coupled and pressured, its performance may decline because it is
made of fluororesin. To ensure a long life for the CUPLA, keep it under no pressure unless necessary.
• The '0· ring of the socket must be replaced periodically because it is a consumable.
• Be sure to mount a specified dustproof cap when handling the GUPLA singly.
• Do not disassemble it.
• If a periodic or pre-shift check reveals any abnormality, stop using the GUPLA and repair or replace it with a new one.
• Apply the fluid used or pure waler 10 the "0" ring or plug (sliding part of the "0" ling) 10 reduce sliding resistance (insertion load) and to protect the "0" ring when making the connection [SGS type].
• Do not use any product of any size other than an applicable tube size [SGF type].
• Consult us for the shape of the plug mount [SCF type].
