Hi Nick,
Well done today, you progressed throughout the lesson and showed
significant improvements. The changes we made will feel quite different,
don’t become disheartened if you don’t experience success to begin with,
stick at it and with practice and you will increase in performance in the
future.
Key Points;
Set Up
The first swing we practiced was the drill we worked on in our last session
with the arms at "7 to 5" where the club head is opposite the hands and
the shaft of the club is parallel to the ground.
The next swing we practised was "9 to 3". The arms should be straight at
a 90 degree angle to body.
The third pitching position was nearly a full swing "11 to 1". When
practicing this position really focus on maintaining a smooth and
controlled body turn due to the increased length of swing.
Perform each pitch position with three consecutive balls, begin with the 9
iron and once you are comfortable with the positions change club upwards
to the 52° and 56° wedges. This will then give you 9 yardages to use
when you’re out playing.
