Skills and Work Solutions are recruiting a Maths Tutor to develop learners Maths abilities leading to the achievement of Functional Skills and Maths GCSEs. To be based in Harpurhey
The duties of the job include:
To work with learners participating in Study Programmes and Traineeships and have a clear focus on helping learners/trainees successfully progress into sustained employment, including Apprenticeships. Induction of new students and initial assessment of learning and development needs of students/trainees. To plan and deliver group and individual learning sessions/activities and other interventions, as required. To monitor student progress towards learning and development outcomes. To manage learner/client progress reviews. To undertake a Key Worker role for a caseload of students and ensuring outstanding progression rates are realised for these young people. To support the delivery of all other subject areas and PSD as required. To monitor and record attendance and progression of learners/clients and provide encouragement. To provide advice and guidance and pastoral support to learners on a range of personal issues, referring to specialist agencies as appropriate.
