Duval and Tweedie's trim and fill method is used to adjust for publication bias in meta-analyses. It involves trimming off asymmetric outliers from a funnel plot and then imputing hypothetical missing studies from the trimmed funnel plot to make the funnel plot symmetrical. The results show the point estimates, confidence intervals and other values from applying this method to studies using fixed effects and random effects models, both with the observed values and after adjustment using the trim and fill method.
