Control System Lab

This document outlines experiments to be performed in a control systems lab using MATLAB. The experiments include: (1) defining systems in transfer function and state-space form and plotting step and ramp responses; (2) designing first and second order electrical circuits and observing their responses to step, ramp, and impulse inputs; (3) studying transient responses of underdamped, overdamped, and critically damped systems; (4) analyzing frequency responses and gain margins of compensating networks; (5) checking the stability of closed loop systems; and (6) determining damping ratios and natural frequencies of feedback systems.

(a) Determine the damping ratio and natural frequency of dominant close loop
poles.
(b) Determine the error constants Kp, Kv and Ka
