Algebra II Mrs. Crane Room 212 [email protected] Welcome! I am excited for what this year has in store for us. My goal is to set you up for success in this course. Expectations: Put forth your VERY BEST effort! If you feel that you need extra help, please ask! I am here in the mornings at 7:45, and offer tutoring from 3:15 3:45pm on days that I do not have duty. Unit 9: Polynomial Functions Unit 10: Radical Functions ***The above outline is subject to change*** Grading Policy 90-100: A 80-89: B 70-79: C 60-69: D 0-59: F Exams count for 70% of students grade. Homework, quizzes, attendance, and classroom participation count for the remaining 30%. Attendance I cannot stress enough the importance of attendance in this class. Each lesson builds on the previous lesson, and keeping up with the instruction as well as the homework is crucial for success. The attendance policy is outlined in the student handbook. Please let me know if you will be out so that we can work together to keep you on track in this course. Make-up Work If you are out unexpectedly and need to make up the work from the day(s) missed, look for your work in the make-up bin immediately upon returning to class. This work may be accepted the next day for credit at my discretion. Late Work Late homework assignments may be accepted for a maximum of 50% credit once you have spoken with me regarding the situation.
Remember, my goal is to set you up for success, but you are ultimately in control of that success. Lets have a great year!
