1. A man died after being hit by a hook in a falling lift while delivering furniture. An enforcement visit found a textile factory had been illegally operating for years without approval and discharging raw effluent into a nearby river containing heavy metals exceeding limits. 3. The factory owner committed several offenses under environmental law, which are to be listed and explained in a report of no more than 12 pages following a set structure. The report is due on week 4 with preparation for an oral presentation.
