We are still accepting new members for 2014. Avenel & Non
-Avenel Residents may join--all are welcome! 2014 member-
ship rates are posted on our club website.
New for 2014 - Member Referral Incentive Program: Do you
have a friend, family member, or colleague who would like to
join ASTC? If so, you can receive -$50 off your annual dues
next summer for each new member that you refer! The ASTC
member that refers the most new member applications by the
end of the season will win an iPad Mini! Please Note: Your
name must be clearly indicated on the new member's appli-
cation form that is submitted with his/her payment in order to
be eligible and credited.
The Board of Directors has reached an agreement with the
Mohican Swimming Pool Association that the Mohican Swim
Team will have use of 2 lanes of our ASTC main pool for their
swim team practices beginning on May 27th, 2014 and last-
ing thru July 18th, 2014 from 3:30 pm - 5:30 pm, Monday thru
Friday. This agreement is limited to swim team practice only,
and does not extend to ASTC club membership, our other
amenities, or use of the pool or facility at any other time. The
Board of Directors will monitor this arrangement, and coordi-
nate implementation with our on-site pool staff and the Mohi-
can Swim Team. Fund raised from this agreement will sup-
port ASTC operations and amenity upgrades.
Party Room: Want to host your family reunion, work picnic,
child's end-of-year school celebration or summer birthday,
scout troop outing, or other special occasion at ASTC? Our
Party Room is available, convenient, and provides a welcom-
ing space with ample tables/chairs available for all your
needs. See our website for complete rental details.
Starting June 1, ASTC Members are encouraged to reserve
Tennis Court use time by contacting the front desk by phone
(301) 469-7070 or in person. We want to make sure that our

Member Check-In and Guest Pass Procedure: Members are
reminded to always check-in at the front desk and sign the
logbook upon entry. This policy will be strictly enforced in
2014, and non-members attempting to use ASTC facilities
will be turned away. Also, all guests of members must pay
the $5 fee/guest (regardless of age). Guest passes may be
purchased at the front desk. Only checks are accepted for
Guest Pass purchases. Bulk (10) Guest Passes are availa-
ble at a discount for $40. As a private members-only club,
we ask for your full cooperation and assistance in this matter.
Please address any concerns about violations to the Pool
Manager.

More and varied food choices! You may
have noticed the increased snack/beverage
offerings at the Snack Bar this weekend, and
that's just the beginning. More choices are
on the way, and we are pursuing the possi-
bility of inviting Food Trucks for special
events, weekends, and parties. Stay tuned
for more details!

ASTC Fundraiser Bash and much more!

aqua FITNESS starting Monday, August 4th (every Monday)
Jump into this easy-to-follow, calorie-burning, Zumba-inspired fitness class
that makes working out a splash! Our instructor, Darina, will offer a one-
hour (10am11am) session every Monday at the pool for Members ($10
per session) and Non-Members ($20 per session). We need a minimum of
5 participants to confirm our weekly class. Please sign up in person at the

ASTC Back to school picnic Saturday August 30th
Please join us at the Avenel Swim & Tennis Club picnic area for our Back
To School Picnic on Saturday August 30th from 4:00-7:00PM. We will be
selling hot dogs, hamburgers, drinks and baked goods. All are welcome.
Raft night Saturday, August 30th
Bring your inflatable rafts (max capacity of 2 people, with no oars and bring
own air pump) for some wet n wild fun starting at 4:00pm! No lap swim or
use of diving board after 7 pm that day.
