Environment Variables For BRTools in Unix

This document describes environment variables used by Oracle databases and BR*Tools software. The key variables that must always be set are ORACLE_SID, ORACLE_HOME, and SAPDATA_HOME. These define the database instance name, Oracle software home directory, and database files directory respectively. It also lists other optional variables that specify default locations for log and data files if non-standard directories are used.
